Peter S. Grant, CSEExecutive Bio
Pete was raised by Peggy and John Grant in Hopkinton. He attended Holderness School in Plymouth, New Hampshire, then attended the Whittemore School at UNH, graduating with degrees in Hotel Administration and Advanced Marketing. Pete entered sales and marketing in the hotel industry, and pioneered the use of PCs to automate routine sales procedures and statistics. At age 25, he was named Director of Sales and Marketing for the Flatley Company's entry into the Metro New York City hotel market. The $58 Million Sheraton Tara Hotel in Parsippany NJ opened in 1988 with ten times the budgeted revenues already sold. He became an author in1992 with his "Sales Compensation Modeling" manual being published by HSMAI. In 1993 he was named Vice President of Marketing for Wedge Hotels Group, responsible for an $80 Million annual revenue stream with properties located throughout the Northeast and the Bahamas. In 1995, he also concurrently headed the operations team at the Radisson Hotel in Chelmsford, MA when it became the Presidents Award winner for Radisson Hotels International. After relocating nine times in his 15 year stint in hotels, he had had enough moving and decided to enter the new Internet industry as Business Development Manager with a 25 year old advertising agency. Pete became an evangelist for web sites as a key business communications vehicle for technology and manufacturing companies and, within three years, had been named as Vice President of Operations and a senior partner with the firm. He has taught courses at 5 colleges and universities in the field of advertising and marketing, led numerous seminars on integrating the web into traditional marketing mix communications and has been a guest speaker five times for the national DocTrain conference for technical communications professionals. In1998 he was invited to be a core guiding member for the newly introduced "Web Development" degree program at Merrimack Community College, a position he held through 2001. From 1995 to present, his core team has launched over 900 web projects for multinational companies like Thermo Electron, Pizzeria Uno, Ski Market, Coloriffics Womens Shoes and Teradyne, as well as smaller technology start ups and local firms like Cosmeti cDentistry [and Able Insurance] in Concord. In 2003 he relocated back home to Concord and focused on incorporating Grant Communications while beginning advanced R&D development on dissecting the Google algorithms. This has led to the industry-leading SEO Amplified® Audit program in identifying the key DTDs that Google uses in determining site relevancy. It also identified the approximate date of September, 2011 when Google changed its' algorithm to include "SiteRank", in addition to its' core "PageRank" algorithm. Currently, Pete heads up the client business development and internet consulting side of the business, while also conducting all software and knowledgebase development efforts in keeping up with Google algorithm changes, ultimately resulting in improved client revenues from search engine traffic. He also is heavily involved at both the local and international levels in Rotary International. He belongs to both the Foundation Committee and chairing the Technology Committee in the Rotary Club of Concord (NH). He is also a Paul Harris Fellow Level Three and a member of the Bequest Society Level Two, and recently joined other Rotarians on the first day of duties for incoming Rotary International president Tanaka of Japan. Pete is also a 40 year member of St. Andrews Church in Hopkinton, NH, carrying on his family's involvement with the church. He is also the Class Correspondant for the Class of '77 at Holderness School. He is a frequent donor or contributor at numerous fundraisers throughout New Hampshire that benefit local and regional organizations and individuals.
