design trends "Content is King". How often we hear
that
And content is a key factor in your
ultimate Search Engine ranking. This is a fundamental
shift by engines using the Inktomi search engine
algorithm, where content in the <body> area
of the tags is cross-matched to the meta tag and
description area in the <head> area of a
page. And for those sites which are database-driven,
one of the key reasons why those sites have limited
visibility with the search engines. Typically, database sites use "interface"
pages (using ASP, JSP and CFM extensions) that,
simply stated, extract data as if in a "mail
merge" program and display the results in
a browser. The problem; search engines cannot
"spider" through content found within
a database; only static HTML files and optimized
interface pages (with limited or no content). In this scenario, duplicate hidden "static"
sites within the root domain are created and optimized
for specific key phrases, then cross-linked both
back to the Index page, as well as the relevant
ASP page. This cross-linking endeavor, with javascript
commands directly below the </head> tag
that directs the browser to the real page intended
for viewing, increases the probability that your
site will be both indexed and ranked well. For more information, visit our site and click
